Archana Shah
Archana Shah (Anna) is the visionary behind forming MJC. From the early stages of only owning one property, she believed in the growth and formation of MJC. Archana Shah comes from an accounting background with a unique knack of being extremely detail oriented, while aiming for perfection in all that she does. Before moving to USA, Archana has handled bank and tax audits, accounting, taxation, and cash management for a large retail group in Uganda.
At MJC, Archana helps with fostering employee relations, planning maintenance projects, renovations, sales and marketing. Archana believes that the hospitality industry is currently at a cross roads with high tech and high touch. Hard work, persistence, ethics, morality and taking care of people, guests and employees is something she strives for each day at MJC.
Archana is a devoted mother to her two daughters. In her free time she like to meditate, read, as well as cook and travel. Archana strongly believes in the Walt Disney quote "All our dreams can come true - if we have the courage to pursue them"
Ojash Shah
Ojash Shah (OJ) is an adept hotel owner and management advisor with over 13 years of experience in hospitality. Ojash is a CPA from India and USA with a proficiency in numbers. He has worked as a Financial Controller in Kenya, Uganda, and Thailand before moving to the USA in 2004.
Comfort Inn & Suites in Warner Robins was his first hospitality endeavor in 2008, which went on to be a Platinum award winner for 7 consecutive years. With an education in accounting, paired with his passion for hospitality, he started in 2008 with a single 77 unit property, and is now at 5 properties just over a decade later.
At MJC, Ojash oversees acquisitions and dispositions, portfolio growth, advancing revenue and productivity for all 5 properties, as well as establishing and cultivating the company's environment for success.
Ojash has 2 daughters; one a sophomore in college and another in her sophomore year of high school. Ojash enjoys traveling, eating at unique restaurants and meeting friends and family in his free time. Ojash strongly believes in "Don't be afraid to fail, be afraid not to try"
Edward Kalashian- Vice President of Operations & Sales
Edward has over twenty-three years of hospitality management experience in a variety of different positions. Prior to joining MJC Hospitality, Edward served as Corporate Director of Hotel Operations for Everwood Hospitality Partners where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company's portfolio. Edward also served in executive leadership roles with Buckhead America Hospitality and PAH Management from 2012-2019.
At MJC Hospitality, Edward's responsibilities include revenue and profitability oversight for the entire portfolio, building the desired culture, strengthening the company's infrastructure, and growing the company's portfolio. Edward has a record of managing hotel portfolios that consistently achieve or exceed key metrics by focusing on guest satisfaction, associate engagement, training and developing top performers to ensure business plan success.
Edward graduated in 1997 with a degree in Hospitality Management from Milwaukee Area Technical College, also serving as chapter Vice President of the Future Hospitality Managers of America Association. Edward is a dedicated family man, married with two beautiful children. In his spare time, he is an avid football fan and enjoys his hi-tech gadgets.
Mihaela Ghiorghe- Corporate Controller
Mihaela is responsible for all financial operations for MJC, including financial reporting, cash management, budgeting, and auditing. She has full responsibility for the accounting functions for all of MJC Hospitality's Hotels. She makes sure financials are generated timely, taxes are paid on time, processes payments, and handles overall reconciliation of the monthly finances. She works closely with our Hotel General Managers to ensure the day-to-day reporting is accurate, timely and has no errors.
Mili Bateman- Accounting & IT Coordinator
Mili's work within MJC is multi-faceted as she plays a role in accounting and payroll as well as being our resident IT guru. Mili helps verify the accuracy of payroll while ensuring our daily reporting is accurate and timely. She helps our accountant with all the tasks necessary for a smooth and accurate bank reconciliation and month end process. Mili graduated with a master's degree in business management from the Interamerican University. In her free time she enjoys art and gaming.
Krystina Martinez- Executive Operations Coordinator
Krystina's role within MJC is to oversee different departments working together to achieve high performance. Krystina plays an active role in planning purchases and sales orders, bookkeeping and accounts payable. Krystina also liaises with relevant corporate and managerial personnel at all levels. She is responsible for onboarding of new employees as well as an array of human resources related tasks to include payroll and employee relations.
Debi Paschal- Regional Director of Sales
Debi has 30 years of sales experience with 15 years in hospitality. Prior to joining MJC Hospitality, Debi opened 2 new hotels as Director of Sales where she was nominated as Marriott Sales Rep of the year. She then moved into an Area Director of Sales role for Hilton.
Debi lives in Florida with her 18-year-old son and enjoys going to the beach and watching college football.
Denise Brunet - Corporate Director of Revenue & Sales
Denise has 30 years of experience which includes the majority of the time in hospitality, as a Director of Revenue Management, Senior Revenue Manager, District Sales Manager and Director of Sales. Prior to joining MJC Hospitality, Denise oversaw Revenue Management for thirteen properties across the country with Best Western Hotels and Resorts. Other experience includes, leading a team of Regional Revenue Managers at Extended Stay America and Sales with Wyndham Hotels, plus some years introducing Revenue Management to the media field of Radio.
Denise’s role at MJC includes direct responsibility of our portfolio for Revenue Management and oversight for Sales. Past successes in Revenue Management include market share improvement in occupancy, ADR, Revpar and overall property Revpar improvement.
Denise graduated from the University of Phoenix in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science Business Marketing. Denise enjoys time with her family, traveling and helping animals in need!
